We are now looking for an Application
Engineer-Marine Sales to join our amazing Marine Applications Engineering team
at our headquarters here in Chesapeake, Virginia!
As an Application Engineer-Marine Sales, you will provide engineering support and technical sales support for the integration of marine leisure and commercial engine applications involving diesel, electric and gas propulsion systems.
Some of your core responsibilities will include:
* Advising and interfacing with customer's engineering group regarding integration of VP products into new or existing applications
In this position, you can expect to travel on
occasion in the United States and internationally.
As an Application Engineer-Marine Sales, you will be afforded the opportunity to work with some exceptionally skilled colleagues and experience some truly exciting challenges that will benefit you both professionally and personally.
To be successful in this role, you must: Possess a high level of understanding regarding boat and engine systems to include various stages of boat building, prototyping, production, and design verification. Display a strong customer focus. Be proficient in electrical and electronic control system functionality and problem solving. Be able to read engineering drawings and interpret technical specifications. Experience in electrical power engineering is a plus. It is an absolute bonus if you have basic 2D and 3D CAD experience!
In addition, excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary as is the need for fluency in speaking and writing English in order to communicate successfully with internal and external stakeholders at different levels of the organization locally, nationally, and globally.
Education & Experience
* A 4-year Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or technical background equivalent to a bachelor's degree in engineering.
