Position Purpose
The Client Technology Consultant, Event Support II, is responsible for enhancing audiovisual (AV) and information technology (IT) support for events. This role involves significant responsibility in coordinating and administering event AV services, ensuring flawless execution of technology solutions during events. The consultant serves as a critical liaison between technology services and event organizers, ensuring that event requirements are met, and technology integrations are seamless. This position is key in providing advanced troubleshooting and strategic support in the planning and execution stages of events.

Join our Client Technology Consulting team (CTC) within Client Services at Dartmouth. We seek a dynamic individual to join our team as a Client Technology Consultant, Event Support II. Client Technology Consulting is a team of passionate IT professionals who approach work guided by our values:

As a CTC, Event Support II, you will build deep relationships with clients and partners across the campus to understand and support the technical needs of a wide range of events. The incumbent will be part of a dedicated event support team that will improve technical issue resolution, boost presenter confidence, and work to enhance the Dartmouth brand.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Associates or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in AV or IT event support, or an equivalent mix of education, experience, and certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating and troubleshooting AV systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and deliver client-focused service.
  • Physical ability to perform frequent lifting, bending, and twisting.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an academic setting.
  • Possession of technology-related professional certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills to effectively communicate with a diverse range of event participants, from attendees to high-level executives and event organizers.
