ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Hiring Range: $21.31 - $22.00

The Client Services Operations Support Team Lead, Healthcare (SCA) is responsible for providing support in the Customer Service Department performing various administrative duties and clerical tasks as assigned in support of the company's government healthcare contract. In addition, the lead serves as a role model, handles escalated process issues, provides training, guidance, and workflow support for the team. This position primarily interacts with internal departments and resources, however, may have external client (or client representative) contact from time-to-time, and may provide support for one or more client contracts in support of the healthcare business. The position requires comprehensive skill working in MS Office, specifically Excel, and ability to quickly adapt to new client applications.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in carrying out the following scope of responsibilities:

  • Lead by example through achieving excellent performance results, as well as compliance, attendance and behavior.

  • Provides answers and handles escalation from team members-Assist management in developing tools and/or communicating changes in requirements, systems, processes and procedures, as well as supports transition and adaptation by the team in a positive and effective manner.

  • Ability to work core business hours/schedule as assigned, which may change from time-to-time based upon business needs.

  • Proactively supports research, analysis and resolution of questions and issues that arise by escalation or as assigned by management.

  • Review team and individual productivity and established metrics and identify potential issues and recommendations to applicable in-line supervisory or management staff.

  • Support client audits and other projects as assigned by management.

  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

  • Assist management in developing tools and/or communicating changes in requirements, systems, processes and procedures, as well as supports transition and adaptationby theteam in a positive and effective manner

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

  • Knowledge and experience with medical claim billing procedures, medical terminology, medical coding and/or medical schooling related to billing and coding.

  • Proven attention to detail; excellent organization skills; and ability to effectively prioritize and accomplish diverse workload with high quality.

  • Strong interpersonal skills which include verbal and written communication, requiring excellent phone and email etiquette.

  • Follows and complies with company policies, processes and procedures.

  • Solid desktop system skills; effective use of standard Microsoft office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and adept in quickly adapting to use of various business systems and applications.

  • Solid office equipment operation skills such as fax, copy, scanner, etc.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 1 + years of experience in a business environment with intermediate clerical or administrative support duties; preferably in the healthcare or financial services industry.

  • Prior experience in a lead/management position desirable.

  • Knowledge of operations/work procedures related to one or more of Performant's business areas desired.
